Guthu Lakshmi Bhat

Guthu Lakshmi Bhat (May 16, 1951 – June 17, 2013) was a 62-year-old woman who was shot to death by her 36-year-old son-in-law Anand Venkata in his 23rd floor apartment in the Skyline Towers apartments at 5597 Seminary Road in Falls Church to settle an argument between himself and his wife on June 17, 2013.[1][2]

Bhat was the widow of Watertown, New York orthopedic surgeon Dr. Nellikunje Gopalakrishna Bhat, who had died in 2004 and with whom she had had three daughters.[3]
