- January 14 - Former supervisors Robert C. Cotten, Jr. and A. Claiborne Leigh, along with Trailer Court Ventures partners Nathan Wechsler, Sigmund Goldblatt, and George and Seymour Faigen are convicted in Federal Court of bribery conspiracy involving the rezoning of 83 acres in Hybla Valley in 1961 for the Audubon Estates trailer park.[1]
