- July 11 – Three men, 35-year-old Henry Johnson, 29-year-old Benjamin H. Turner, and 18-year-old Raymond Nash escape from the Fairfax Jail after tampering with the lock on their cell door. All three men are recaptured by 7:45 p.m.[1][2]
