Events that took place in Fairfax County in June, 1953:
- June 3 – 17-year-old George Schindler, Jr. drowns while swimming in Lake Barcroft in Falls Church.[1]
- June 25 – Three electrical linemen, 27-year-old Paul Moore, 27-year-old Charles E. Townsin, and 50-year-old Walter E. Johnson, are killed and six others injured when the electrical line they are erecting touches a live 22,000 volt one on the farm of Harvey Baggett on Beulah Road in Franconia. The one man wearing rubber gloves, 50-year-old Odell E. Blevins, escapes without injury.[2]
