- June 3 – Fairfax County Police Officer Loren J. Blamer is injured when he crashes his police car while speeding to the scene of another accident.[1]
- June 12 – While Major Carl R. McIntosh is ill in the hospital, Captain William L. Durrer is appointed acting chief of the Fairfax County Police Department by Carlton C. Massey.[2]
- June 13 – 21-year-old Arthur W. Wertman breaks his neck diving into Timberlake in Oakton. Wertman dies two days later at the Bethesda Naval Hospital.[3]
