- November 13 – Hampered by winds that at times gust up to 30 miles per hour, nearly 60 Fairfax County firefighters wage a seven-hour battle to extinguish a large brush fire that ultimately consumes between 50 and 75 acres of underbrush in the Bull Run Regional Park in Centreville.[1]
