- November 2 – Fairfax County voters overwhelmingly approve a referendum allowing for the direct election of members of the Fairfax County School Board.[1]
- November 6 – 27-year-old security guard Tina F. Ricca is shot to death at the construction site of the National Reconnaissance Office in Chantilly.[2]
