- Fairfax County buys the 672-unit Wedgewood Apartments complex in Annandale for $107.5 million to provide affordable housing to the county's poor and low-income residents.[1][2]
- November 1 - 34-year-old Thomas M. Hager is sentenced to death in Federal District Court by Judge T. S. Ellis, III for the November 29, 1993 torture and murder of Barbara E. White in her Alexandria apartment.[3]
- November 24 – 27-year-old Jeremy A. Brader is killed in an early morning hit-and-run crash in Centreville by 43-year-old Daniel L. Huggins.[4][5]
- November 27 – 42-year-old former Fairfax County Sheriff's Deputy David L. Ruel commits suicide near his home in Herndon the day after his house and storage unit are searched by the Fairfax County Police investigating allegations that Ruel had sexually abused a 12-year-old boy beginning in 2001.[6]
