William H. Lash, III
William H. "Bill" Lash, III (January 21, 1961 – July 13, 2006) was a 45-year-old McLean man who fatally shot his 12-year-old son, William Lash, IV, then committed suicide in their home at 1433 Pathfinder Lane on July 13, 2006.[1][2]
Lash had served as a United States Assistant Secretary of Commerce from 2001 to 2005 and had recently returned to the George Mason University law school, where he had been a professor since 1994.[2]
