Events that took place in Fairfax County in April, 1965:
- April 11 – 19-year-old Nicholas C. Finamore kills 15-year-old Catherine M. Atkinson, 14-year-old Amelia A. Shepard, 17-year-olds Gregory P. White and John H. Williamson, and mortally injures 16-year-old Chris Drury when he runs a red light at the intersection of Dolley Madison Boulevard and Old Dominion Drive in McLean, smashing the dump truck he is driving into a compact car carrying the five teenagers. Drury is taken to the Fairfax Hospital, where he dies on April 19.[1][2]
- April 19 – 22-year-old Kenzie R. Locke unintentionally kills himself when he crashes into a utility pole on Beacon Hill Road in Alexandria.[3]
- April 19 – 59-year-old James F. Hubbard is killed by 26-year-old James D. Horsley when Horsley broadsides Hubbard's car as he attempts to turn onto the George Washington Memorial Parkway from Belle View Boulevard in Alexandria.[4]
