Events that took place in Fairfax County in April, 1991:
- April 12 – Circuit Court judge Johanna Fitzpatrick sentences 25-year-old Robert A. Miller to life in prison for fatally beating and stomping his girlfriend's niece, 8-year-old Destiny Souza, in her Springfield townhouse on September 17, 1990.[1]
- April 17 – 34-year-old Rodney A. Cheek fatally shoots his estranged wife, 28-year-old Deeta Venson-Cheek, as she parks her car outside the Heritage Center building in Annandale. Cheek then speeds back to Prince George's County, where he kills 34-year-old Edward Dawson in his Capitol Heights print shop and then fatally shoots himself after crashing his motorcycle into a pickup truck.[2]
- April 23 – 31-year-old Calvin Quick is shot several times and mortally wounded near his home in Reston. He is taken to Fairfax Hospital, where he dies the next day.[3]
- April 29 – Circuit Court Judge F. Bruce Bach sentences 46-year-old Lieutenant Colonel Bruce N. Griffin to 18 years in prison for fatally stabbing his 37-year-old wife Paulette at their Chantilly home on November 25, 1990.[4]
