Events that took place in Fairfax County in April, 2008:
- April 3 – 17-year-old Elvin Rodriguez-Juarez strangles his stepmother, 42-year-old Zaida Alvarez Rodriguez, in their apartment at 12056 Greywing Square in Reston.[1]
- April 6 – 29-year-old Moises Chirinos-Lopez is stabbed to death in Lincolnia by 35-year-old Edis Aldolfo Reyes to settle an argument.[2]
- April 10 – 46-year-old Robert Persigehl shoots and kills his former girlfriend, 48-year-old Alexandria woman Vanessa Miller, then commits suicide in her home at 5621 Overly Drive in Rose Hill.[3]
- April 22 – Fairfax County Police Sergeant Weiss Rasool is sentenced to two years probation for misusing police databases by searching for the license plates of three vehicles which were being used by the Federal Bureau of Investigation to follow a terrorism suspect and providing that information.[4]
- April 27 – 18-year-old Harbi Adam is stabbed to death by 21-year-old Joshua S. Puryear during a fight between two groups of people in Falls Church.[5][6]
