First Washington Realty
First Washington Realty is a Bethesda, Maryland-based real estate company that owns several shopping centers in Fairfax County.
The trust was formed in 1983 as First Washington Management. By 1994, the company owned 20 shopping centers and went public as the First Washington Realty Trust.[1]
First Washington Realty Trust was purchased for $800 million in 2000 by U.S. Retail Partners, a joint venture of the California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) and National Retail Partners.[2]
