Franconia District Station

The Franconia District Station of the Fairfax County Police Department is commanded by Jim Baumstark, who assumed command of the station on July 28, 2012.[1]

The station was formerly commanded by Captain Shawn P. Bennett.

In 1993, the Franconia District station began opening satellite stations in various areas with high crime activity with the opening of a station in the Springfield Gardens Apartments.[2] Another station was opened in the summer of 1995 in the Williamsburg Square Shopping Center.[2] On December 5 and 6, 1996, the third and fourth satellite stations were opened at the Edsall Garden Apartments and Springfield Mall, respectively.[2]
