George E. Stepp
George E. Stepp was the superintendent of City of Fairfax Schools from 1996 to 2007.
Step began his career with the Fairfax County Public Schools system as a social studies teacher.
In 1980, Stepp became the principal of West Springfield High School. He remained at this position until 1986, when he became principal of Lake Braddock Secondary School.
In 1989, Stepp became Area IV superintendent, replacing the recently-retired John I. Creigh.
Stepp retired from FCPS in 1995 and became the superintendent of schools for the City of Fairfax.
