Events that took place in Fairfax County in July, 2013:
- July 16 – The State Council for Higher Education in Virginia revokes the University of Northern Virginia's license to operate and orders it to close.[1]
- July 19 – Stacy L. Reed, the instigator and getaway driver for the botched home invasion robbery in Centreville on May 17, 2010 that resulted in the fatal shooting of handyman Jose Cardona, is sentenced to 22½ years in Federal prison.[2]
- July 30 – The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors permanently appoints Edwin C. Roessler, Jr. as Chief of the Fairfax County Police Department.[3]
