- June 3 – 31-year-old El-Muiz M. Abdu hacks 38-year-old Abdelatif T. Mohamed to death with a meat cleaver in Vienna to settle an argument over a $12,000 debt owed to Abdu.[1][2][3]
- June 24 – The Kingstowne Library opens in the Landsdowne Centre shopping center in Alexandria.
- June 29 – 33-year-old Jason A. Morant is convicted of first-degree murder for strangling his 24-year-old girlfriend Robin J. Kehrer in Fairfax on October 11, 1999.[4]
