- March 2 – A two-day search prompted by a tip to the Fairfax County Police Department results in the discovery of the corpses of 17-year-old Edvin Escobar Mendez and 14-year-old Sergio Arita Triminio in the Holmes Run Stream Valley Park in Alexandria.[1][2]
- March 10 – 26-year-old Bernardo E. Ford, Jr. is convicted in federal court for killing 35-year-old independent recreational narcotics salesman Babatunde E. Fadahunsi during a botched ripoff at Fadahunsi's apartment at the Skyline Towers at 5597 Seminary Road in Baileys Crossroads on February 23, 2016.[3]
