Events that took place in Fairfax County in February, 2017:
- February 2 – 58-year-old Waneta M. Achaj is struck and fatally injured by a 59-year-old man driving a 2002 Ford F-150 truck as she attempts to cross Little River Turnpike at the intersection with Braddock Road in Alexandria.[1][2]
- February 11 – The remains of 15-year-old Damaris A. Reyes Rivas, who disappeared from Montgomery County, Maryland on December 10, 2016, and was murdered on January 8, are found in a wooded area off Wimsatt Road in Springfield.[3]
- February 18 – 29-year-old David Sifuentes is killed when his 2001 Volkswagen, which he had been repairing, rolls, violently throwing him to the ground when it strikes a nearby townhouse in the London Towne West neighborhood of Centreville.[4]
- February 21 – 4-year-old Stellan Lotuno dies in the fire he starts playing with a lighter in the garage of the home at 8113 Arcade Street in Lorton.[5]
- February 23 – 57-year-old Asress Gobena Lakew is struck and killed by a 30-year-old driving a 2016 Jeep Wrangler as she attempts to cross Reston Parkway near South Lakes Drive in Reston.[6]
