Events that took place in Fairfax County in October, 2013:
- October 7 – Nelson Omar Quintanilla Trujillo is murdered in Fairfax County by MS-13 members Jose Lopez Torres, Juan Carlos Marquez Ayala, and Omar DeJesus Castillo.[1][2]
- October 14 – 38-year-old Pablo Aquino is killed when he falls 40 feet from the roof of the building at 950 Herndon Parkway in Herndon.[3][4][5]
- October 18 – 17-year-old Juan Carlos Godoy is shot and mortally wounded by 26-year-old Javier DeJesus Martinez at 2274 Marginella Drive in Reston. Godoy is flown to the hospital, where he dies on October 20.[6][7]
- October 30 – 28-year-old James Bryant is shot and killed by Fairfax County Police Officer Mohammed Oluwa outside the Eleanor U. Kennedy Adult Emergency Shelter at 9155 Richmond Highway in Fort Belvoir.[8][9]
