Ronald L. Mastin

Ronald L. "Ron" Mastin was the Chief of the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department from 2007 to 2013.

Mastin joined the department in 1973. He served 28 years with the department, eventually becoming a Deputy Chief heading up the Operations Division under then-chief Glenn Gaines.[1]

On August 1, 2001, Mastin became the Chief of the Division of Fire in Henrico County.[2]

The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors appointed Mastin as Chief of the FCFRD on April 9, 2007, and he began on June 3.[3]

Mastin retired from the FCFRD on May 7, 2013.
