Sully District Station
The Sully District Station of the Fairfax County Police Department is located in Chantilly.
The station opened on May 3, 2003 under the command of Captain William R. Gulsby.[1][2]
In November 2004, Captain Susan H. Culin took over command of the Sully station.[3]
On May 8, 2006, the station was the site of a shooting rampage by 18-year-old Michael W. Kennedy, who killed Detective Vicky O. Armel and mortally wounded Officer Michael E. Garbarino before he himself was fatally shot by officers Mark Dale and Jeffrey Andrea.[4][5]
