- December 25, 2005 – Nathan Cheatham shoots his mother Sheila to death at their shared home in McLean, then drives to Great Falls, where he fatally shoots Adam S. Price, Janina C. Price, and Christopher J. Buro before committing suicide.
- December 25, 2015 – 34-year-old Santos Narcisco Osorio fatally stabs 23-year-old Edgar Armando Serrano in Falls Church to settle an argument at a party.
