- July 20, 2001 – 35-year-old Jose L. Lino pleads guilty to second-degree murder for shooting Martin Mendoza-Argueta outside a party in the Seven Corners area of Falls Church in September 1991.
- July 20, 2016 – 24-year-old David R. Alison, IV unintentionally kills himself when he loses control of the 2001 Volvo S40 he is driving and crashes into a tree on River Bend Road in Great Falls. Alison is ejected from the car, which lands on top of him and bursts into flames.
