- June 18, 1992 – 49-year-old Pam Hawver unintentionally kills her 14-year-old daughter Robyn and three other teenagers: Jeremy Daly and Kendra M. Kristiansen, both 15, and 16-year-old Scott Sloan, when she turns her Oldsmobile 98 into the path of a dump truck driven by Willis E. Brown, which strikes the car broadside and pushes it into another dump truck at the intersection of Route 7 and Lewinsville Road. Robyn survives the initial crash and is flown to Fairfax Hospital, where she dies.
- June 18, 1997 – While visiting friends in the area, 19-year-old District resident William T. Robinson stabs 29-year-old teacher Sandra Zembruski to death outside her apartment in Tyson's Glen in Falls Church.
- June 18, 2002 – 53-year-old Suhail Ilyas fatally shoots his 14-year-old son Aaron and mortally wounds 11-year-old Zak before committing suicide in the family's townhouse at 5506 Woodlawn Manor Court in Alexandria. Zak is airlifted to Inova Fairfax Hospital, where he dies.
- June 18, 2014 – 35-year-old Juan Ramon Matetu Figueroa fatally stabs his 28-year-old girlfriend Glenda Aviles in her rented room in a home in Falls Church.
