Events that took place in Fairfax County in February, 1991:
- The Sherwood Regional Library closes for a $3.1 million renovation.[1]
- February 4 – 26-year-old Daniel M. Strohkirch is arrested at his home in the Fort Belvoir area of Alexandria after a grand jury indicts him for murder for providing cocaine to Fred L. Green, a Stafford county man who subsequently died of cocaine poisoning on July 19, 1988 in Prince William County.[2]
- February 14 – A 20-foot-high cinderblock wall being constructed for a Service Merchandise store in Chantilly collapses from a gust of wind, mortally wounding 34-year-old William Dixon and injuring 9 other men. Dixon is taken to the Fair Oaks Hospital, where he dies of head injuries. The building was being constructed under the supervision of Keystone Builders, which was the general contractor for the project.[3]
- February 16 – 44-year-old waitress Joann A. Webster is stabbed to death in her apartment at 8601 Sacramento Drive in the Sacramento Square Apartments in Alexandria.[4][5]
- February 20 – 25-year-old Robert A. Miller pleads guilty to first-degree murder for beating and stomping 8-year-old Destiny Souza to death in the basement of her Springfield townhouse on September 17, 1990.[6]
- February 26 – The Bailey's Crossroads Revitalization Corporation is organized.
