Events that took place in Fairfax County in July, 2014:
- July 21 – After over a century in business, the Reston-based Truland Group shuts down and closes its doors.[1]
- July 25 – 62-year-old Mary Gibson disappears after leaving her Springfield home to walk her dog. She is found dead in the Pohick Stream Valley Park the next morning.[2]
- July 29 – By a 6-4 vote, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors rejects a proposal by EnviroSolutions to extend use of the Lorton Landfill to the year 2025, meaning the landfill will close in 2018.[3]
