Linda L. Burke
Linda L. Burke was the assistant superintendent for region leadership support for the Fairfax County Public Schools system, a position created during Dr. Karen Garza's 2014 rearranging of the system's deck chairs from eight clusters into five regions.
Burke began in FCPS in 1973 as a music teacher at Frost Intermediate School[1] Her first administrative position was as assistant principal of Joyce Kilmer Middle School.[2]
After a stint as an assistant principal at Hayfield Secondary School, Burke became the principal of Twain Middle School in 1993.[2][3]
After three years at Twain, Burke became the principal of Lake Braddock Secondary School in 1996.[2]
Superintendent Jack D. Dale named Burke as assistant superintendent for Cluster VII in October 2007.[4]
Burke retired from FCPS in 2016 after 42 years.
