- November 4 – 76-year-old Annie E. Russell is struck and killed by a car driven by 22-year-old Army Private Edward D. Showalter as she attempts to cross Route 1 in Alexandria.[1]
- November 4 – 48-year-old Roy M. Soers is hit by a car and killed as he walks along Lee Highway west of Centreville.[1]
- November 23 – 25 firemen from the Franconia, Mount Vernon and Penn-Daw Volunteer Fire Departments, as well as 50 soldiers from Fort Belvoir, fight a 25-acre brush fire near the Mount Vernon Open Air Theater off Route 1 in Alexandria.[2]
- November 23 – 40 Chihuahua dogs die in a kennel fire on Valley View Drive in Franconia.[2]
