- April 19, 1965 – 22-year-old Kenzie R. Locke unintentionally kills himself when he crashes into a utility pole on Beacon Hill Road in Alexandria.
- April 19, 1965 – 59-year-old James F. Hubbard is killed by 26-year-old James D. Horsley when Horsley broadsides Hubbard's car as he attempts to turn onto the George Washington Memorial Parkway from Belle View Boulevard in Alexandria.
- April 19, 1969 – 58-year-old Sylvia Bailor is fatally stabbed by her 65-year-old common law husband James C. Hill to settle an argument in their home at 5922 Old Falls Road in McLean. Bailor is taken to Fairfax Hospital, where she is pronounced dead.
- April 19, 1997 – 23-year-old Michael W. Little fatally injures his passenger, 17-year-old Langley High School senior Katherine E. Pehrkon, when he drunkenly loses control of his speeding 1989 Honda Civic on Beach Mill Road in Great Falls and crashes into a tree. Pehrkon and another severely injured passenger, 17-year-old Joshua Chou, are taken to the Inova Fairfax Hospital, where she dies the next day.
- April 19, 1999 – Edward L. Stinnette is appointed Chief of the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department by the Board of Supervisors.
