- April 8, 1967 – 8-year old Billy G. Hanna falls off a raft in the middle of a farm pond in Herndon and drowns.
- April 8, 1990 – While fleeing the scene of another crash, 26-year-old Juan Landeros kills 54-year-old Mabel Rastatter and 84-year-old Esther B. Rastatter and fatally injures 58-year-old Joseph A. Rastatter when Landeros crashes the 1979 Mercury Marquis he is driving head-on into the Rastatters' 1989 Nissan Sentra. Joseph Rastatter is flown to Fairfax Hospital, where he dies.
- April 8, 1992 – Fairfax County police remove seven pipe bombs from Victor A. White's 1984 Nissan Sentra, which had been sitting for a number of days in the staff parking lot of White Oaks Elementary School in Burke.
- April 8, 1998 – 30-year-old Mark A. Szymanski is found dead, an apparent suicide, in his home at 1451 Beulah Road in Vienna.
