- August 25, 2005 – 20-year-old Brendan Klos fatally shoots his frenemy, 20-year-old Anthony Sherbaf, in the face with a .22 caliber pistol in the home at 6107 Beech Tree Drive in the Wilton Woods neighborhood of Alexandria.
- August 25, 2014 – 54-year-old Clayton F. Young is struck by a tractor-trailer on the Fairfax County Parkway near Fox Mill Road. Young is taken to the Reston Hospital Center, where he is pronounced dead.
