- October 24, 1993 – 41-year-old Jesus B. Arreaga is shot and mortally wounded by Fairfax County police officer Frank Stecco when Arreaga reaches for a knife in his belt in the stairway of the Meadow Woods Apartments in Alexandria. Arreaga is taken to Fairfax Hospital, where he dies early the next morning following surgery.
