- October 25, 1943 – 46-year-old James A. Fincham is killed when he is struck by a car driven by Private Theodore C. Sipe near Fairfax.
- October 25, 1988 – While searching for murder suspect Ramon A. Bido, Fairfax County Police Officers shoot and mortally wound 28-year-old Maria Teresa De la Cruz and injure her 50-year-old husband Inocencio when Inocencio brandishes a handgun at the officers after they break down the door of the couple's basement bedroom in Annandale. Both victims are taken to the Fairfax Hospital, where Maria dies early the next morning.
- October 25, 2010 – Lee T. Wiggins is sentenced to 40 years in prison by Judge David S. Schell for killing his girlfriend, Siobhan L. Russell, on April 12, 2009.
- October 25, 2012 – 27-year-old Maximiliano Ponce-Cruz unintentionally kills himself in Annandale when he crashes into a pole on Backlick Road and is ejected from the 2003 Chevy Tahoe he is driving.
