Annandale High School is a public high school in Fairfax County, Virginia.
When it opened in 1954, the school's first principal was Ralph Buckley.[1]
Lake Braddock Secondary School associate principal Rodney Manuel became the fifth principal of AHS in 2003 and resigned in April 2005: his less than two-year tenure becoming the shortest in the history of the school.[2] Former Fairfax County Public Schools administrator George Keim came out of retirement to act as interim principal.[2]
John Ponton moved over from J.E.B. Stuart High School to become the principal in August 2005.[2]
In 2011, Vincent J. Randazzo replaced Ponton as principal.[3]
Randazzo retired after four years, and Westfield High School principal Tim Thomas became the new principal in August 2015.[4]
