Events that took place in Fairfax County in April, 2016:
- April 2 – 26-year-old Jeffrey Ponce Aguilar is struck by a Fairfax County Police cruiser and mortally injured in Alexandria. Ponce Aguilar is taken to the Inova HealthPlex in Franconia, where he dies.[1][2]
- April 20 – 16-year-old Brenda C. Soto is found unresponsive in a bathroom at Lake Braddock Secondary School in Burke. She is taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital, where she is pronounced dead.[3][4]
- April 24 – 21-year-old Hosung Lee is beaten by a mob and stabbed at a party in Herndon. Not realizing that he is mortally wounded, Lee is taken to his home in Centreville by his friends and put to bed, where he dies and is discovered the following afternoon.[5][6]
- April 26 – The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors confirms the appointment of Jessica A. Hudson as director of the Fairfax County Public Library system.[7]
- April 26 – The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors appoints Deputy County Attorney Elizabeth D. Teare as the new county attorney, replacing David P. Bobzien.[8]
