- March 3 – Wilbert T. Abney is convicted of the murder of his wife, Mona L. Abney in January 1978.[1]
- March 8 – Edward O'Connor and his wife Alice, both 81 years old, die in a fire at 6536 Renwood Lane in Annandale.[2]
- March 11 – 24-year-old Jamel D. Rush is convicted of second-degree murder for fatally stabbing 30-year-old Christian A. Green in Lorton on August 4, 2005.[3]
- March 14 – 40-year-old Fidel Angel Coreas is convicted of first-degree murder for the July 17, 2000 shooting death of his 36-year-old girlfriend Mariza Segovia in her apartment at 7610 Savannah Street in the Falls Church Gardens Apartments in Falls Church.[4]
