- December 11, 1988 – 19-year-old Carlos D. Dela'O is shot in the head and mortally wounded by Marcia Anner while watching television in a residence at 6156 Willston Lane in Falls Church. Dela'O is taken to Fairfax Hospital, where he dies early the next morning.
- December 11, 2002 – 19-year-old Fanta Moses disappears on her way home from work. Her decomposed corpse is found in a wooded area near Cherokee Avenue and Navaho Drive in Alexandria on April 15, 2003.
- December 11, 2006 – 22-year-old Laquetta S. Sanders is stabbed to death by her aunt, 56-year-old Martha Majors, in her apartment at the Edsall Garden Apartments at 6416 Edsall Road in Alexandria.
- December 11, 2006 – 45-year-old David R. Feliz is stabbed to death in the laundry room of an apartment building in the 6000 block of Bellview Drive in the Culmore section of Falls Church.
- December 11, 2009 – Minghua Zheng is strangled to death by her husband, Jaime A. Kuhne, in her apartment at 718 Tamarack Drive, #C, in Herndon.
