- February 21, 1902 – While walking along the track of the Southern Railroad in Clifton, Cleveland Hayes is struck by a passenger train and killed.
- February 21, 1969 – The door of Annandale High School is damaged when someone sets off a blasting cap in front of the school, shattering the glass.
- February 21, 1980 – While turning onto Reston Avenue from Leesburg Pike in Herndon, 27-year-old Steven D. Urban is killed when his car is struck by one driven by 18-year-old Ricky L. Harlow and torn in half, hurling him nearly 100 feet into a nearby culvert.
- February 21, 1989 – 16-year-old Scott Foster is killed when he loses control of his 1976 Chevrolet and crashes head-on into a pickup truck on Fox Mill Road in Oakton.
