- June 25, 1959 – 50-year-old Dale D. Nutter is shot to death by his 49-year-old wife, Elizabeth V. Nutter, while he sleeps in their house at 516 Waterway Drive in the Lake Barcroft neighborhood of Falls Church.
- June 25, 1970 – 36-year-old Henry S. Robinson is sentenced to 25 years in prison by Judge Barnard F. Jennings for the murder of Ethel J. Marsh in Alexandria on September 29, 1969
- June 25, 1999 – 17-year-old Troy Wooten is sentenced to 10 years in prison by Circuit Court Judge Arthur B. Vieregg, Jr. for mortally injuring 21-year-old Jason Baughman with a steel pipe on January 2.
- June 25, 2001 – 90-year-old Alzheimer's disease sufferer Earl O. Hannsz goes on a dementia-inspired stroll in Reston and walks into Lake Anne, where he drowns.
- June 25, 2005 – 22-year-old Jack S. Cornejo is shot to death by Brandon Gotwalt in a courtyard of the Fair Oaks at Pender Creek apartments in Fairfax.
- June 25, 2013 – 24-year-old Haseeb Raza is stabbed and mortally injured his 20-year-old brother Mohammad, who then shoots and mortally injures himself in the home at 4169 Travers Court in the Rockland Village neighborhood of Chantilly. Both men, as well as a 61-year-old family member who had been stabbed when he tried to intervene, were taken to local hospitals, where Haseeb dies that day and Mohammad dies two days later.
- June 25, 2014 – An early morning fire in the house at 5605 Willow Valley Road in Clifton mortally injures 76-year-old Bok Yong An and seriously injures two other occupants of the home. An is flown to the Washington Hospital Burn Center, where he dies of his injuries.
