- February 16, 1985 – While attempting to spray paint his name on a rock face at the disused Occoquan Quarry, 18-year-old Mark A. Ciconi falls to his death when the rope he is using to swing out over the 100-foot wall breaks.
- February 16, 1986 – As she walks along South Kings Highway in Alexandria, 52-year-old Maria M. Sandy is struck and killed by car driven by a 37-year-old woman. Sandy is taken to the Fairfax Hospital, where she is pronounced dead.
- February 16, 1991 – 44-year-old waitress Joann A. Webster is stabbed to death in her apartment at 8601 Sacramento Drive in the Sacramento Square Apartments in Alexandria.
- February 16, 2003 – Mohammad Kazam is mortally wounded when he is stabbed outside his apartment on Furman Lane in Alexandria. He is taken to Mount Vernon Hospital, where he dies.
- February 16, 2009 – 58-year-old Margaret A. Teague is shot to death during an argument with her husband, Donald E. Teague, Jr., at the family home at 7209 Laketree Drive in Fairfax Station.
