- June 20, 1969 – Fairfax County Police Inspectors A. Harry Crosen and Stanley H. Dodson are promoted to the rank of Major.
- June 20, 1988 – The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors votes to change the name of the Springfield Bypass to the Fairfax County Parkway.
- June 20, 1990 – 31-year-old hospital orderly Karl A. Bodden is stabbed and beaten to death outside his Centreville apartment by 23-year-old Venancio Romero Cabanas.
- June 20, 1995 – 23-year-old Keoviengkone Sengchanh is shot and mortally wounded at a party at the Masonic Lodge at 6911 Columbia Pike in Annandale. Sengchanh is taken to Fairfax Hospital, where he dies.
- June 20, 2009 – The Fairfax County Park Authority dedicates Merrifield Park, the first "urban park" in the system.
