- June 8, 1968 – Three-year-old Todd P. Rowan drowns in Lake Barcroft in Falls Church when he falls off a pier behind his home at 3545 Pinetree Terrace.
- June 8, 1980 – 27-year-old Jack A. Walker, Jr. is shot to death by 31-year-old Pagan's motorcycle enthusiast club member Thomas P. Evans to settle an argument at a party at 12503 Glenbrooke Woods Drive in Herndon.
- June 8, 1996 – 23-year-old Jonathan Sorah shoots his 25-year-old brother Joseph in the head, mortally wounding him, to settle an argument at the family home at 2304 High Drive in Vienna. Joseph is taken to Fairfax Hospital, where he dies the following evening.
- June 8, 2012 – Gbassay Koroma is sentenced to 20 years in prison by Judge Charles J. Maxfield for stabbing his 40-year-old father Francis to death in the family apartment in Centreville on May 27, 2011. Ten years of Koroma's sentence are suspended on the condition that he complete mental health treatment.
- June 8, 2016 – 67-year-old Hiep Van Le settles an argument with his son-in-law, 45-year-old Dang D. Ngo, by shooting Ngo to death in the front yard of his home at 3408 Beverly Drive in Annandale. Le also fatally wounds his 40-year-old daughter Sophia, who is taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital, where she dies.
