- November 13, 1967 – Hampered by winds that at times gust up to 30 miles per hour, nearly 60 Fairfax County firefighters wage a seven-hour battle to extinguish a large brush fire that ultimately consumes between 50 and 75 acres of underbrush in the Bull Run Regional Park in Centreville.
- November 13, 1978 – 27-year-old Gary D. Hunter crashes his car into the house at 4802 Twinbrook Road in Fairfax and dies in the ensuing fire.
- November 13, 1986 – An early morning fire causes an estimated $1 million in damage to the Springfield Tower building in Springfield.
- November 13, 2006 – 45-year-old Monica O. Telfer is shot to death by her husband, 54-year-old Samuel Appiah-Kusi, who then commits suicide at their house at 6624 Sky Blue Court in Kingstowne.
- November 13, 2009 – Unarmed criminal suspect David A. Masters is shot and killed by Fairfax County Police Officer David Scott Ziants during a traffic stop on Route 1 in the Huntington area of Alexandria.
