- November 14, 1948 – After liberating a truck from his employer, Floris dairy farmer Carter Magill, 29-year-old James R. Fincham kills 19-year-old Robert L. Wells when Wells crashes his motorcycle on Lee Highway near Centreville. Fincham flees the scene and is arrested on November 21 near Front Royal, Virginia.
- November 14, 1956 – 7-year-old Barbara Jean Minnick and her 4-year-old sister, Gloria Kay, are mortally injured by 27-year-old Melvin L. Carney when he runs over the sisters with the gravel truck he is driving on Franconia Road in the Franconia region of Alexandria. Barbara Jean dies in the Alexandria Hospital two hours later, while her sister lingers until November 16.
- November 14, 2004 – A fire in his first-floor condominium at 1432 Northgate Square in Reston kills 53-year-old Jeffrey Kerrigan.
- November 14, 2009 – The Sally Ormsby Park in Fairfax is dedicated.
