- November 3, 1963 – The new brick headquarters building for the Burke Volunteer Fire Department is dedicated.
- November 3, 1990 – 17-year-old Robin M. Anderson is fatally shot in his car on Richmond Highway by 18-year-old Robert R. Redfearn. One of his passengers drives him to the Mount Vernon Hospital, where he is pronounced dead.
