- February 26, 1952 – Fairfax County Police officers David R. Eike and James Murphy discover Army Major Grady W. Phillips fellating drunken Marine Corporal William C. Ellicott in Major Phillips' car on the side of Route 236 in Lincolnia. The officers arrest both men, and Major Phillips later claims at his court martial that he was attempting to retrieve his eyeglasses, which had fallen on the floor of the car, although this explanation did not seem to adequately address why Corporal Ellicott was discovered with his pants off and his underwear pulled down.
- February 26, 1953 – 27-year-old George W. Porter is convicted of murder for fatally shooting his 25-year-old common law wife Faye at the couple's Baileys Crossroads home on October 29, 1952.
- February 26, 1980 – 72-year-old Lorenna Landes is struck and mortally injured as she crosses Heritage Drive in Annandale by a car driven by 18-year-old Elizabeth A. Thoren. Landes is taken to Fairfax Hospital, where she is pronounced dead about an hour later.
- February 26, 1991 – The Bailey's Crossroads Revitalization Corporation is organized.
- February 26, 1997 – Fairfax County Police officer Jeffrey R. Hand robs the Central Fidelity Bank at 9516 Old Keene Mill Road in Springfield.
- February 26, 2014 – 15-year-old W. T. Woodson High School sophomore Jack Chen is struck and killed by a Virginia Railway Express train near his home in Fairfax Station.
