- June 10, 1964 – 17-year-old McLean High School student Michael J. Garvey mortally wounds himself playing Russian roulette with his father's .38 Smith and Wesson revolver in the family home at 5909 Maxwell Court in McLean. Garvey is taken to Fairfax Hospital, where he dies.
- June 10, 1975 – Residents of Reston vote to approve a $2.6 million bond issue to facilitate the construction of a new community center.
- June 10, 1979 – William Paris fatally shoots 44-year-old Max Walls at his apartment at 6614 Boulevard View in Alexandria.
- June 10, 1993 – John Kowalczyk is shot to death in Vienna by hired killer Ralph N. Shambaugh, Jr..
- June 10, 1996 – Mobil Corporation announces its plans to sell Mobil Land Development Corporation to Westbrook Partners, a New York-based real estate investment company.
- June 10, 2004 – 20-year-old Kathryn A. Southard is killed when her 1992 Subaru Legacy is struck by a 2003 Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by 25-year-old Oscar Rene Bonilla as she attempts to make a left turn onto Old Keene Mill Road from Byron Avenue in Springfield. Bonilla crashes into a tree and runs away from the scene.
- June 10, 2009 – 54-year-old homeless man William J. Bowie is shot and killed in the Mount Vernon neighborhood of Alexandria by 18-year-old Tyree D. Harvey.
