- March 11, 1960 – 49-year-old Elizabeth V. Nutter is sentenced to 10 years of probation by Judge Paul E. Brown for the June 25, 1959, murder of her husband Dale. Judge Brown says that she will "suffer far more from the act that she committed" than she would from being imprisoned.
- March 11, 1989 – 18-year-old Roger A. Taylor, Jr. comes home and is handed a knife by his father, 44-year-old Roger, Sr., who tells his son to kill the elder Taylor's wife, 44-year-old Carolyn U. Taylor. The younger Taylor follows his stepmother to the laundry room of the family home at 13426 Moore Road in Centreville, where he stabs her to death.
- March 11, 2006 – 24-year-old Jamel D. Rush is convicted of second-degree murder for fatally stabbing 30-year-old Christian A. Green in Lorton on August 4, 2005.
- March 11, 2007 – 60-year-old Richard Peterson and his 21-year-old disabled daughter Sophia die in a fire caused by a prayer candle in their double-wide at 14530 Lanica Circle in the Meadows of Chantilly trailer park in Chantilly.
- March 11, 2016 – 83-year-old Johan De Leede is fatally shot at his home at 6017 River Drive in Lorton. De Leede is taken to the hospital, where he dies.
