- March 14, 2006 – 40-year-old Fidel Angel Coreas is convicted of first-degree murder for the July 17, 2000 shooting death of his 36-year-old girlfriend Mariza Segovia in her apartment at 7610 Savannah Street in the Falls Church Gardens Apartments in Falls Church.
- March 14, 2016 – 25-year-old Cristian G. Dominguez unintentionally kills himself and his front-seat passenger, 28-year-old Cristian A. Merino, when he crashes the Saturn he is driving into a tree on Burke Commons Road in Burke.
